Global Flavors Delicious Queensland Rum Balls
GLOBAL FLAVORS’ Queensland Rum Balls are a delightful treat that can be enjoyed on various occasions.
These rum-infused chocolate confections are great as indulgent desserts on their own, perfect for serving at parties or gatherings.
They also make for charming edible gifts, adding a touch of luxury with their unique flavour to any special event or holiday celebration.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed chocolate wafer cookies or graham crackers
- 1 cup powdered sugar, divided
- 1 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Global Flavors Queensland Rum
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the crushed chocolate wafer cookies or graham crackers, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, chopped nuts, and cocoa powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- In a separate small bowl, mix together the Global Flavors Queensland Rum, light corn syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the rum mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are fully combined, and a sticky dough-like consistency is achieved.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour. Chilling the mixture will make it easier to handle and shape into balls.
- After the mixture has chilled, remove it from the refrigerator. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them between your palms to form bite-sized balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each rum ball in the additional powdered sugar, coating them evenly. Place the coated rum balls on a baking sheet or tray lined with parchment paper.
- Once all the rum balls are shaped and coated, return them to the refrigerator for another 1-2 hours, or until they firm up.
- Serve the Global Flavors Queensland Rum balls chilled as a delightful dessert or sweet treat. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Note: The rum balls may develop a richer flavor over time as the ingredients meld together. If desired, you can experiment with rolling the rum balls in other coatings such as sprinkles, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts for added texture and variety.
